Getting Started

• Each level represents a dam in the river—it is your mission to destroy these dams and restore the flow of magic through Orchidia.
• Match 3 or more flowers in a horizontal or vertical line to make them disappear.
• The more flowers you match in one go, the more points you get. Your score is displayed top-centre of the screen.
• Each level/blockage needs different tasks to be performed to clear it, such as a certain number of flowers to be matched.
• Level tasks will be told to you by the characters in the game story. A reminder is also displayed in the top left hand corner of the play screen.
• Some levels are timed—the clock is displayed in the top right hand corner of the screen.

How do I collect an Orchid/Ducky/Charm?

Just match 3 or more flowers beside the item to collect it.

How do I use Charms?

You need to use the Power Up Flower to release the Charms you have earned. Available Charms include Row Charms, Touch Charms, Column Charms and Flower Colour Charms.

What are the different types of Charm?

• Touch Charm: This Charm affects all flowers, creatures and objects immediately surrounding it, causing them to sink, or at least scare the enemy creature a little bit!
• Row Charm: This Charm affects every flower, creature and object in the same column as it when it has finished moving.
• Flower Colour Charm: When it stops moving, this Charm causes every flower of the same colour to sink, no matter where it is in the stream.
• Time Charm: When it stops moving, extra time is added to the clock.

What is the Power Up Flower?

The Power Up Flower is displayed on the right hand side of the screen, beneath the timer. To release Charms that you have won in previous levels, you need to get 8 petals on the power up flower. Earn petals by matching 4 or more flowers.

How do I rescue the penguins/otters/frogs?

In some levels you will have to save an animal that has been trapped by the magic flowers. You can use flower matches and charms to clear all objects surrounding the animal.

How do I scare the bad guys away?

Just match flowers beside them and you’ll see their courage diminish. If you match big clusters of flowers beside them – that scares them even more. Charms also work.

Where do my flowers go when they bump into creatures swimming from left to right?

As you may have noticed, these creatures can eat your flowers. The secret to avoiding them is to accelerate the flowers through the spaces between them using the down key or pulling the mouse towards you.

How do I avoid the blocks of ice and lilies?

If you catch ice or lilies with your flowers they can very quickly cause chaos as you try to complete the level. As with avoiding creatures, you should use the down key or pull the mouse towards you for a burst of speed and move through the gaps between them.

The items that flow in the main river from the side-streams are really annoying! What can I do about those?

You can block off these tributaries by stacking flowers next to the opening, but be careful not to make matches and open the flow up again. You shouldn’t do this on every level, though, as sometimes you need what comes out of the tributaries to complete your task…
